956,494. Ducting built from sheets. RADIATION Ltd. Sept. 25, 1962 [Nov. 6, 1961], No. 39600/61. Headings F2G and F2P. A duct unit is built from rectangular sheet elements having a U-flange b on one edge or on two opposite edges into which the plain edge or edges of further rectangular sheets are slid. Bends and T- or four-way junctions may be built up on the same lines as the Y-junction shown in Fig. 4 where the sheets C 2 and C 3 are folded to the appropriate angles and the sheets a, a 1 &c. overlap at the junction. Plain sheets may also be shaped out or flanged and used to produce a duet of varying cross-section. The U- flanges are crimped or welded on to the adjacent sheets and luting or washering material may be introduced to render the joints leak-proof.
