956,280. Storage bunkers discharged by trimming. NIAGARA ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Dec. 5, 1961 [Sept. 7, 1960], No. 30887/60. Heading B8E. A bunker for slurries consists of a fixed base 1 supported, e.g. on a plinth 2, above ground and a vertically movable wall or walls 6 surrounding the base and carrying at the top means movable vertically with the walls and operative to remove the contents of the bunker from above and deliver it, e.g. to a take away conveyer 15. The means to raise and lower the walls may be the rack-and-pinion shown at 16, 17 or hydraulic rams. The contents of the bunker are removed by the lower run 10 of a scraper conveyer 9 whose scrapers are sufficiently spaced to allow loading of the bunker through the spaces between them. The inevitable gap between the walls and the base allows excess liquid component of a slurry to drain away.
