Abstract

956,082. Gloves. BOLDSWORTH INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 5, 1963 [April 7, 1962], No. 13495/62. Heading A3V. An industrial glove has the palm and the fronts of the fingers made of leather or other hard wearing abrasion resisting material and the back of the hand and the back of some or all of the fingers made of knitted material having a looped pile outer surface. The front cuff 18, thumb 10 and first finger 11 of glove 16, are made of leather, the back 15 together with the backs of fingers 12, 13, and 14, are made of a single piece looped knitted fabric, The looped pile being on the outer side. The fabric may be cotton or nylon yarn, or a mixture of nylon and other yarns. A preferred fabric comprises 90% nylon and 10% cotton. The glove may be provided with an elasticated wrist portion 19, and the fingers may have leather tips.
