Abstract
830,038. Gloves &c. PARMENTER. E H. July 29, 1957 [May 24, 1956], No. 16168/56 Class 141 A glove, mitten &c. integral with or permanently attached to a garment sleeve is formed with one or more openings so arranged that the whole hand or one or more fingers may protrude. In Fig. 1, the mitten 1 has an opening 3 for the fingers and a thumb opening 4; the opening 3 may have fastening means dividing it into individual finger openings (Figs. 3-5, not shown). The thumb opening may be replaced by a thumb-piece. In a modification, Fig. 6, fastening means 7 are provided along the outer edge of a mitt 6 enclosing all the fingers, or the fastening means may extend along the edges of the fingers of a glove. In Fig. 6, the fastening means may be omitted, the thumb opening being sufficiently extensible to allow for passage of the whole hand. An extra opening may be provided in the hand portion as at 8 or at the wrist as at 10, Fig. 7. The glove &c. is made of knitted material or of other fabrics with elastic edgings around the openings.
