A gas burner comprises a perforated cylindrical chamber 1 having a coaxial core comprising a closed cylinder 4 above which is spaced an inverted V-shaped screen 5 which extends from substantially half the axial length of the chamber 1. The perforations 2 in the chamber 1 are arranged in tangent circles. A table 6 conveys a combustible gas mixture from an injection 7 into the perforated chamber 1 at a point under the inner end of the screen 5.
