Abstract
952,564. Storing liquefied gases. CONCH INTERNATIONAL METHANE Ltd. Feb. 5, 1963 [March 6, 1962], No. 8653/62. Drawings to Specification. Heading F4P. Sealing of abutting peripheral sides of heat insulation panels independently secured to the metal wall of a liquefied gas storage vessel is effected by forcing compressible closed cell porous material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, at ambient temperature and in precompressed condition into the joint and bonding said material to the faces to be sealed. Other foamed plastics which may be used are polystyrene, polyethylene and polyurethane and bonding is effected by an epoxy-resin.
