An artificial delay line comprises a number of R-C bridges producing a phase shift directly proportional to frequency, each pair of bridges being separated by means having a high input impedance. In Fig. 4 the bridges each comprise elements 1, 2, 3, 4 chosen so that the phase shift is small and thus proportional to frequency. The bridges are coupled by transistors 13, 18.
