Abstract

951,047. Smokers' lighters. NIMROD PRODUCTS Inc. Jan. 14, 1963, No. 1629/63. Headings F4F and F4T. A smoker's lighter comprises a head 2 formed with a chimney passageway 9 open at both ends, a wick 12 passing through an aperture in the side wall of the chimney, and a sparking wheel 15 mounted in a slit 16 in the head 2. The wick 12 passes through a metal tube 7 which is burred over at its ends to rivet together the head 2, an end wall 3 and a fuel container 4 containing wadding 10. A flint 13 is located in a tube 8 and urged by a spring 14 against the sparking wheel 15. A cover 17 is pivoted on an axle 18 carried by a blade spring 19 secured to the head and adapted to hold the cover in both the open and closed positions.
