950,743. Direct connections between conductors. BRAYHEAD (ASCOT) Ltd. July 6, 1961 [July 7, 1960], No. 23770/60. Heading H2E. A method of fixing wire or strip contacts 4 (Fig. 1) to a printed circuit panel 1 consists in stapling the contacts to the panel so that a part 4a of each contact extends around an edge 1a of the panel. The contact ends passing through the holes 2 in the panel may act as terminals for anchoring panel-mounted components or for connection to parts of the printed circuit 6. Notches 3 may be let into the panel edge for location of the contacts. The panel may house a coil 5 tuned by a movable core 7 and wound on a former whose ends 5a are stuck to the panel, the winding ends being connected to the contact ends. The contacts may be of palladium silver or silver-plated copper wire.
