Abstract
950,478. Batteries. ELECTRIC STORAGE BATTERY CO. Nov. 25, 1960 [Dec. 21, 1959], No. 40543/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading H1B. The efficiency of silver electrodes in an alkaline battery is improved by adding from 0.1-5% by weight of the silver, of lead, lead oxide, lead hydroxide or sodium plumbite. This causes the formation of silver plumbate on the divalent silver oxide particles and reduces gassing and electrical resistance.
