Apparatus for supplying cigarette filter tips 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>11</SP> from the grooves of a drum 3 to a distributing turret 18 which deposits the filter tips between two cigarettes on a collecting drum 22 is characterized in that between the drum 3 and the turret 18 a closed conveying passage 8 is provided through which the filter tips are conveyed by compressed air. Groups of three double length filter tips 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>11</SP> are delivered into the passage 8 from a groove in the drum 3 by compressed air from a conduit 6. The tips are conveyed past an additional compressed air duct 11 to a stop 19 at the end of a constricted portion 13 of the duct 8, air being allowed to escape from the duct 8 via outlet ports 15 which may be regulated by a member 16. The tips are then individually taken from the outlet 17 of the duct 8 by driver members 20 of the turret 18 for delivery to the collecting drum 22.
