The roof and floor of a pressurized cabin A, B, B<SP>1</SP> of an aircraft 10, comprise skins 14, 15, 14a, 15a filled with square section tubes 16, 16a, the skins 14, 15a forming part of the aircraft skin; the tubes 16, 16a may be replaced by a corrugated filling, Fig. 2a, not shown. The cabin side walls are thin sheets of circular arc section. Equispaced ribs cd, ef, gh, &c. secured to the roof and floor and comprising a solid web 18 and an open mesh structure 17 divide the cabin into sections; corridors a, a<SP>1</SP>, b, b<SP>1</SP> and B, B<SP>1</SP> are also provided. Regions W and B, B<SP>1</SP>, F, F<SP>1</SP> of the aircraft constitute storage compartments.
