Abstract
946,376. R.F. couplings; television distribution systems. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 12, 1962 [Jan. 17, 1961], No. 1222/62. Headings H4A and H4R. [Also in Division H1] An aerial terminal E is connected to load points S 1 , S<SP>1</SP> 1 ... by groups of coaxial feeders 12 and 13, 22 and 23, 32 and 33 as illustrated in Fig. 1, all feeders other than the last in each group being provided with an outer sheath of finely divided ferromagnetic material. Correct matching is obtained if Z=2(Z+R)/N, where Z is the input and output impedance, R is the common value of resistors 15, 25, 35, 16, 26, 36 and N is the number of groups of feeders. The load points may be connected to television receivers, the signal frequency range being 40 to 820 mc/s. There may be three or more feeders in each group with a corresponding number of load points, Fig. 3 (not shown). The feeders may be mounted in a circular arrangement, Fig. 2 (not shown).
