Abstract
945,964. Extruding. BETEILIGUNGSUND PATENTVERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. July 28, 1961 [July 30, 1960], No. 27397/61. Heading B3P. A tube extrusion press, particularly for sheathing cable 5 with lead or aluminium, has a die 2 with a resilient lip 2a projecting axially in opposition to the direction of extrusion and which co-operates with the conical end of the mandrel 1 to compensate for pressure changes in the extrusion chamber 3. During stop periods for re-charging the press, the die and mandrel take up the positions 2a, la but after extrusion recommences they adopt the positions 2b, 1b In both cases the extrusion gap R is constant.
