[Also in Division C3] The sensitivity and developability of a photographic light-sensitive silver halide material is increased by incorporating in the emulsion or adjacent layer a polymeric compound consisting of recurring units of the formula:- wherein R is hydrogen or an alkyl group, R 2 is an alkylene group, R 3 is hydrogen or an alkyl group of 1 and 5 carbon atoms and x is an integer from 2 to 35. In the example,poly (methoxy polyethylene glycol-N-Vinyl carbamate) is added to a silver bromiodide emulsion. The emulsions may contain the usual chemical sensitizers and other additives.
