945,826. Regulating fluid flow. CHADBURNS (LIVERPOOL) Ltd. Aug. 21, 1962 [Sept. 23, 1961], No. 34135/61. Heading G3H. A throttling valve in the delivery line of pressurised fluid, e.g. beer comprises an axially adjustable conical plug member 23 in the bore 11 of a housing 10 having an inlet 13 and an outlet 16. The plug which defines a restricted passage the annular cross-section of which progressively increases, serves to reduce foaming or frothing. To the same end, the coupling member 16 is provided with an annular recess 21 which changes the direction of flow of some of the fluid.
