Abstract
945,194. Flow indicators. WILLIAM COULTHARD & CO. Ltd. Jan. 15,1962 tAug. 17, 1961], No. 29660/61. Audition to 900, 006. Heading G1R. This patent of addition in which the indicator of the flow measuring device of the parent Specification, which indicates or measures flow by means of a ball float or other device which is adjusted by changes in rate of flow, is provided with a port for connecting the device to the suction side of mechanical lubricator or other pump. The indicator in question has a visible drip indicator in series with a ball and tapered tube indicator all arranged in a translucent block 7. A vent plug 6 at the upper end of the tapered bore 2 allows for insertion of the ball 8. The passage 9 at the lower part of the vacuum chamber 5 of the drip indicator connects with the inlet port of a pump. In a drawing accompanying the Complete Specification (not shown) the ball chamber is arranged beside the drip indication.
