945,123. Door frames. ETABLISSEMENT SABOR. June 27, 1962 [Aug. 30, 1961; Jan. 10, 1962; Feb. 16, 1962], No. 24734/62. Heading EIJ. The uprights and top beam of a door frame of plastics each comprises a channel member 1 the wings 2 of which are secured to an anchoring structure C by snap action of the wings by means e.g. of the inwardly turned hook-like flanges 3 on the free edges of the wings engaging into recesses 5a in the anchoring structure, and to this end the wings of the channel member when the latter is in the inoperative condition form an angle of less than 90 degrees with the web section which is set back from a plane interconnecting the corners of the member. Instead of the ledges 5 secured each side of the door case shown in Fig. 3 and the bridging strip 7 there may be used a prefabricated wooden strip of channel form matching the inner shape of the member 1, with shims interposed between its wings and the door case to provide recesses for the flanges 3. In another alternative form the ledges 5 have an inner step on each longitudinal side and symmetrically rounded portions to accommodate the corners of the channel member 1.
