Abstract

944,086. Injection moulding. VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A.G. May 24, 1962 [May 25, 1961], No. 20016/62. Heading B5A. An injection moulding machine comprises an injection cylinder 7 and a feed screw 1, between which is provided a pressure operating vessel 4 so arranged that the feed screw 1 feeds material continuously into the pressure vessel 4. This feed being through a pipe 3 which enters the pressure vessel through a piston 5. The piston 5 pushes the material intermittently into the injection cylinder through a non-return valve 9. The piston 5 has a piston-rod which actuates switches 6 to control the speed of the feed screw.
