943,933. Trawlers. C. BIRKHOFF. Sept. 27, 1961 [April 18, 1961], No. 34625/61. Heading B7A. A method of putting trawl gear on to the deck of stern trawlers wherein the fore gear with danlenos 3, ground rope 1 and head line 2 are taken in one haul into a defined non- sliding and non-entangling position on the deck. Rolling over and lateral sliding of ground rope 1 and danlenos 3 is made impossible by fairlead rails 12, before which there are gilson winches 8 or fairlead bollards 10 leading to them. The superstructure leaves side gangways 11 for moving and storing danlenos, ground rope and head line with their corresponding legs. The warp winch 4 behind the superstructure is put on an elevated platform 13 in order to straightly hoist-through the foregear 1, 2, 3 under it and also to elevate the warp lines 5 in such a manner that undisturbed working on the net deck becomes possible.
