Abstract
Glazed or unglazed pottery cooking vessels such as frying pans are coated externally by metal spraying with a thin layer of a metal which in oxide form is present in the glaze or biscuit if unglazed of the pottery and then by metal spraying or electrodeposition with a heat conductive coating of another metal. The inner layer of metal may be of lead but is preferably of aluminium and the outer of copper. The pottery vessels may be heated before application of the inner layer of metal and when the inner layer is of aluminium its thickness may be 0.05 mm.ALSO:Glazed or unglazed pottery cooking vessels such as frying pans are coated externally by metal spraying with a thin layer of a metal which in oxide form is present in the glaze or biscuit if unglazed of the pottery and then by metal spraying or electrodeposition with a heat conductive coating of another metal. The inner layer of metal may be of lead but is preferably of aluminium and the outer of copper. The pottery vessels may be heated before application of the inner layer of metal and when the inner layer is of aluminium its thickness may be 0.05 mm.
