[Also in Division B7] A heavy-duty stapling machine has a pillartype stand and is operated by a foot-pedal (see Division B7) which can be mounted on either side of the pedestal base of the pillar and can be adjusted at will to give two or more leverage conditions. A vertical bar attached to the pedal-end operates a pivoted arm to move a stapling head in and out of contact with staple clencher. The clencher is at the top of a column carried on the outer end of an arm which is clamped on the pillar below the stapling head.
