Abstract

942,325. Locking nuts and bolts. C.A.V. Ltd. Sept. 11, 1961 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 32393/60. Heading F2H. To prevent movement of a nut or bolt-head, a synthetic resin member with a circular hole of a diameter intermediate the diameters of the imaginary inscribed and circumscribed circles of the nut or bolt-head section is located with the nut or bolt-head in the hole and an extension of the member located elsewhere to prevent movement. In Fig. 2, an extension skirt 14 of the holed member engages a nut 11 beneath the nut 10 which is located in the hole. In Fig. 3, the extension has another hole, similar to the first and engaged on a second nut or bolt-head 16. In Fig. 1 (not shown) there is an extension flange, perpendicular to the member, for location in a recess in a workpiece adjacent a bolthead. The member may be of nylon, polyvinyl chloride or the material sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Delrin."
