Abstract

941,838. Diazotype photocopying material and processes. KALLE A. G. Sept. 5,1960 [Sept. 10, 1959], No. 30555/60. Heading G2C. Material highly suitable for use as an intermediate original for the production of further diazotype copies comprises a transparent support having a coating comprising a 1-diazo-2. 5- dialkoxy-4-morpholino-benzene and a watersoluble alkyl phenol as coupling component; and the process includes use of a similar material with the diazo compound only, for processing with the coupler in a developer. Two examples specify solutions for the purposes fully, the first using 1-diazo-2. 5-dimethoxy-4-morpholino-benzene with 2, 5-dimethyl-4-morpholino-methyl-phenol as the main ingredients for coating on a transparent support and subsequent ammonia development,and the second 1-diazo-2.5-diethoxy-4- morpholino-benzene zinc chloride double salt for sensitising and 1 -hydroxy-2.5-dimethyl benzene in solution for semi-wet development. Other sensitisers are indicated and many other couplers listed.
