941,479. Windscreen wipers. ROVER CO. Ltd. Dec. 17, 1959 [Dec. 18, 1958], No. 40827/58. Heading A4F. A windscreen wiper arm 5 has a blade supporting portion comprising parts 7, 8, 9 and 10 interconnected by transverse pivots 11, 12, 13, and a resilient wire rod 21 anchored at the outer end 20 of the part 10 extends through holes in brackets 22, 23, 24 supporting the pivots 11, 12, and 13 for maintaining the blade 15 in engagement with the curved windscreen 19. The rod 21 carries at its inner end a follower 26 for coaction with a fixed cam 27 so that as the wiper arm oscillates the rod varies the curvature of the blade in a predetermined manner in accordance with the curvature of the windscreen.
