Abstract

939,508. Mounting rotors for dynamo electric machines. SANDOZ PATENTS Ltd. March 19, 1962 [March 23, 1961], No. 10336/62. Class 35. A high speed electric motor has a rotor 2 mounted within stator 3 on two bearing 5, which are elastically mounted so that when motor is running the axes of rotation and inertia move into closer approximation of coincidence. In the Figure the outer rings 6 of bearings 5 fit tightly into intermediate mounting rings 7 which have cooling ducts 8. Each mounting ring 7 has a groove 9 and a conical portion 10 which are in contact with elastomer rings 11, 12 and held in position by stator housing 15 and flange 13.
