Abstract
938,733. Magnetic storage devices. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Dec. 19, 1960 [Dec. 17, 1959], No. 43619/60. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XIX] Apparatus for determining the content of coded information (see Group XIX) includes a transfluxor which is used as a triple sequence gate to pass a signal to a counter when a predetermined sequence of signals say N, G, Zi, are received. In the initial, blocked state, distribution of field lines in the transfluxor is as shown in Fig. 9. After receipt of the N, G, Zi control pulses in this order at windings w 1 , w 3 , w 2 respectively, the flux distributions are as shown in Figs. 10, 8, 9 respectively. An output pulse is produced in winding w 4 and transmitted by a transistor Tr when the " Zi " pulse completes a sequence of three pulses. No output is derived if either or both the " N " and " G " pulses are omitted. The transfluxor may have the more usual circular shape with one large and two small apertures.
