Abstract

1,011,459. Transistor pulse shaping circuits. SOC. D'ELECTRONIQUE ET D'AUTOMATISME. Feb. 27, 1964 [March 1, 1963], No. 8173/64. Heading H3T. Pulse signals are differentiated and then applied to a two condition circuit to switch it over at a predetermined amplitude of the rising front of the differentiated signals and restore it at the passage through zero. Signals (a), (b) from a tape read-out head are applied to transistors 2, 3 arranged such that positive-going signals cause one transistor to conduct and negative-going signals cause the other to conduct. The resulting outputs are differentiated by transformer 5, 6, 7 poled such that the output from winding 7 is of the same sense whether positive or negative signals are received. The differentiated signal triggers a bi-stable circuit 12, 14 when it exceeds a threshold value and restores the circuit when the differentiated signal passes through zero, that is, at the peak of the input signal.
