A limiter comprises a Zener diode 3 fed with the signal to be limited via a capacitor 2. When the amplitude exceeds where Vz= Zener voltage and V D = threshold voltage, capacitor 2 becomes charged and applies to the diode a bias voltage = so that the limiting is symmetrical.
