Abstract

1426007 Transistor bi-stable circuits; colour television SONY CORP 18 Sept 1973 [22 Sept 1972] 43832/73 Headings H3T and H4F A bi-stable transistor circuit as shown at 24 is used to generate a colour killer signal K, and has the magnitude of its output voltage swing made independent of the difference between the input threshold levels at which the circuit respectively changes state in the two directions. The input D.C. level E IN is derived from the colour burst signal (18, 19, 21, 22). Resistors R6, R7 determine the separation between the two thresholds, and R8, R9 determine the output swing. R9 may be zero. The circuit is also said to respond to advantageously lower levels of input signal than a Schmitt trigger circuit.
