Abstract

938,271. Envelopes. J.N.I. Ltd. April 6, 1962 [Jan. 7, 1961], No. 42090/61. Class 146 (2). A letter sheet, in Fig. 1, of the reply type comprises a main sheet member 1, having a window 4 in the top left-hand portion, behind which is disposed a subsidiary sheet member 2, held in position by an adhesively attached further sheet 3, defining a pocket for the sheet member 2. A tear strip 6, Fig. 2, defined by two rows of perforations 5, and reinforced by two layers of adhesive strip 7, is provided below the window 4, so that on pulling a tab 8, forming an extension of the doubled over strip 7, a slit is formed along the perforations 5, through which slit the subsidiary sheet member may be withdrawn. The sheet 2, which forms a reply card carries an addressee's particulars on the upper face and sender's particulars on the opposite face, is folded with the main sheet so that the addressee's particulars will be visible in an ordinary window envelope in which the letter sheet is despatched.
