938,077. Endless-track links. SCHMIEDEUND STANZWERK HALVER G.m.b.H. July 18, 1962 [July 29, 1961], No. 27538/62. Class 79(1). In a track link for armoured endless-track vehicles which is formed with ribs 1d defining a central space 1c for a rubber shoe comprising a rubber member 4b vulcanized to a metal plate 4, resilient tapering projections 4c formed on the plate 4 and divided by crossslits are pressed by the load on the shoe into firm engagement with rectangular tapering depression 1f formed in the link. The bottom surfaces of the depression 1f are formed level with the inner surface of the link to provide a bearing surface for driving and supporting rollers. Pins 2 provided with rubber rings pass through holes 1a in the links and are coupled by connectors 3. Cut-outs 1i are provided in the link edges so that track guide teeth 5 can be secured to the pins 2 between adjacent links. A single screw passes through a central hole 1h in the link and engages a tapped hole in the plate 4 and two further holes 1h are provided to facilitate detachment of the shoe.
