Abstract

937,940. Diamond tools; abrasive tools. WHEEL TRUEING TOOL CO. March 27, 1962, No. 11714/62. Classes 60 and 124. A rotary drill bit for drilling shallow holes in masonry and the like material comprises a flat annular abrading working face 20 having a bore 17 therethrough, an abrading annulus 21 protruding from the face and a second abrading annulus 23 less than one-half the outside diameter of the bit and protruding from the flat face a greater distance than the annulus 21. The abrading particles, such as diamonds, are set in the working face of a member 12 secured to a mounting member 11. Cutting fluid is fed through bores 15, 17 and across the working face via channels 26, 27, 28 and relieved areas 25.
