936,267. Endless conveyers. MAIG MUEHLENBAU UND INDUSTRIE G.m.b.H. Jan. 25, 1962 [Feb. 1, 1961], No. 2781/62. Class 78 (1). Perforated plates 3 are pivoted on pins 2 of endless chain links 1 and are provided with angle members 31 which are engageable by weights 6 pivotally mounted on a flange 51 of a chain wheel shaft 5. In use, the weights 6 bear on the angle members 31 and pivoting of the plates 3 to the position shown in the lower run of the chains is delayed until the chains leave wheels 4. The apparatus may be used in the treatment by hot gas of raw material for cement. Springs may be used in place of or to assist the weights 6.
