935,817. Bolts; locking bolts; securing nuts to work. W. DZUS. July 27, 1962, No. 28967/62. Class 89 (1). A screw 10, of which the thread, e.g. a twostart thread 16, has one flank 17 undercut, is screwed into a resilient sheet-metal nut 50 with inwardly-directed wings 54, Fig. 2, forming a thread having a greater pitch than that of the thread of the screw so that the wings are distorted by the undercut flank on tightening, to conform to the screw thread and wedge against the thread root. The nut is fastened by rivets 57 to one workpiece 56 and the wings 54 are separated from the nut body at their trailing edges by slots 55.
