935,594. Exhaust silencers. GOBLIN (B.V.C.) Ltd. Dec. 21, 1961 [Feb. 22, 1961], No. 6483/61. Class 7(2). [Also in Group XXVIII] A silencer adapted to be connected to the exhaust opening of a cylinder type vacuum cleaner comprises a structure having shallow bell mouth 4 presenting an annular seating 7 against which a filter 8 is pressed by a rigid perforated external cover 10. The filter 8 comprises superimposed bonded fibre fabric layers, and, if desired, a perforated backing disc 9.
