Abstract
935,275. Toothed gearing. H. HEATON. Feb. 24, 1962, No. 7289/62. Class 80 (1). In epicyclic gearing comprising a planet carrier 38 attached to a driving pulley 34, a fixed casing 10 having an internal toothed annulus 17, and a sun gear 63 attached to a driven pulley 36, the planet carrier 38 is formed by four circular discs 39, 40, 41 and 42 spaced apart by distance-pieces and secured together by screws, a first train comprising planet gears 49, 51, 54 being carried between discs 39, 40 and 41 and a second train comprising planet gears 55, 57, 59, 60 and 62 being carried between discs 41 and 42. The driving pulley 34 and planet carrier 38 are secured to a bush 28 which is rotatably mounted on a fixed shaft 23. A bush 29 is also rotatably mounted on the shaft 23 and carries the driven sun gear 63 and driven pulley 36. The driving and driven pulley may be plain or provided with teeth forming chain wheels. Furthermore, the input pulley may comprise a worm-wheel driven by a worm.
