Abstract

934,562. Suspension filing systems. R. BRINKMANN TO BROXTEN. Nov. 16, 1960, No. 39390/60. Addition to 880,244. Class 146(1). A folder according to the parent Specification adapted to be suspended from a single supporting rail, is modified in that the attachment fitting 1 is provided with a projection 15 adapted to engage a side face of the rail 10 or to engage a correspondingly shaped groove 17 in the underside thereof. In this latter position, the folder is displaced laterally with respect to the other folders in the hanging registry to indicate, for example, that the contents of the folder have been borrowed. The edge 12 of the attachment fitting projects above the hanging edge 11 of the folder to prevent said edge 11 coming into contact with the underside of the rail 10. That part of the attachment fitting projecting above the hanging edge is thicker than the lower portion 2, there being steps in the thickness which engage the hanging edge of the folder. The base 8 of the hook is positioned substantially at the centre of said hanging edge.
