Abstract
Veterinary growth-promoting compositions in the form of foodstuff compositions or solid premixes for addition thereto comprise a compound of general formula: <FORM:0932674/VI/1> wherein R1 stands for a hydroxy, amino or alkylamino radical, R2 stands for a hydroxy, amino, alkylamino or alkoxy radical, R3 stands for a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical and R4 stands for a phenylazo or phenylhydrazo radical optionally substituted in the benzene ring by a hydroxy, C1-5 alkyl or C1-5 alkenyl radical or a halogen atom or a salt thereof in admixture with a non-toxic pulverulent solid or animal foodstuff. Other active compounds of known veterinary utility, e.g. 4-bromo-41-nitro-carbanilide; 3,5-dinitrobenzamide and sulpha-quinoxaline (coccidiostats); dibutyl tin laurate, piperazine and sodium fluoride (anthelmintics) and dietary supplements, e.g. Vitamin A and D p mixtures, and substances rich in the vitamins of the B complex.
