Abstract

[Also in Group XVIII] A beverage dispensing nozzle 10 for filling containers 20 with self-closing valves 22, 23, comprises an upright tube closed at its upper end and provided with a pair of laterally disposed outlet apertures 13, 14. The container 20 is similar to that described in Specification 932,448 and comprises a flexible body to which the valve, formed by a tube with two flaps 22, 23, is sealed. For filling, e.g. from a beverage dispensing machine as described in Specification 866,689 the nozzle 10 is pushed through the flaps 22, 23, and a cock 15 opened to supply liquid under pressure through the nozzle. When the container is removed, the valve tube prevents escape of the liquid from the container while the nozzle is withdrawn.
