In a fluid pressure responsive switch the movement of a Bourdon tube T in response to fluid pressure supplied at P is transmitted by a link B to a multi-stepped cam S pivoted at O. The cross-section of cam S is defined by a series of arcs centre 0 separated from one another by inclines. A lever L bears on an arc of the cam S and when the cam has turned sufficiently due to increased pressure in tube T, for the lever to engage an incline the lever closes a micro-switch I. If the pressure drops sufficiently for the lever L to engage the next lowest incline the switch is again opened. The position of the microswitch may be adjusted by means of a control cam G so that the microswitch can occupy a different position corresponding to each arc on cam S and the device can thus operate over several pressure ranges.
