Abstract
931,674. Transistor switching circuits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 25, 1960 [April 6, 1959], No. 11609/59. Class 40 (6). In a logic circuit, a transistor has its base connected through individual resistors to input circuits, and a bias source, and a connector is provided for detachably connecting in parallel with the bias resistor an additional resistor to modify the function of the circuit. A number of switches S1 . . . S4, which may be electronic, are connected via resistors R1 . . . R4 to the base of transistor T1 and a source of bias is connected to the base by an adjustable resistor R5, the value of which is set such that applying signals to a predetermined number of inputs will switch the transistor to its conductive conductive state. A second transistor T2 may be coupled to the first as an inverter. The variable resistor comprises a main resistor, which may be continually variable, and a number of interchangeable additional resistors.
