930,266. Saddle clips. T. NIEDDU. Oct. 13, 1961, No. 36821/61. Class 136(3). An assembly for holding a cycle saddle in an inclinable manner to the head 2 of a saddle pillar I has a rotatable clamp 5-7 (seen in transverse section in Fig. 2) locked on to springs 6 of the saddle underframe by nuts 9 on the ends of an axis-pin 3<SP>1</SP>-3-3<SP>11</SP> passing through the head 2 and a friction ring 4 of suitable elasticity bound between the clamp and the head. A worm 10, which has a screwdriver slot for turning (Fig. 3), is held between bearings carried on brackets 11 attached to the clamp plates 5 (as in Fig. 5 not shown) and engages a screw thread at 12 on the enlarged central part 3 of the axis-pin to rotate the clamp when required. Serrations 14 engage the friction rings when they are compressed by the nuts.
