927,973. Valves. H. W. WALDENMAIER, [trading as JOHANNES ERHARD H. WALDENMAIR ERBEN SUDDEUTSCHE ARMATURENFABRIK]. Oct. 31, 1961 [Oct. 13, 1960], No. 38899/61. Class 135. A butterfly valve closure member comprises a valve disc 3, stepped to receive a clamping ring 4, between which is held a sealing ring 5 of circular or other cross-section. The ring is secured to the disc by bolts 8 and stop bolts 9 are provided to determine a gap 10 between the ring and disc. The bolts 9 are adjustable to vary the gap which determines the stressing of the sealing ring. The clamping ring and disc are shaped at 6 and 7 to conform to the cross-section of the ring.
