927,152. Rectifiers. WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO. Ltd. Oct. 17, 1961 [Oct. 24, 1960], No. 36450/60. Class 37. In a spindle-mounted plate-type rectifier, the rectifier plates 3 are spaced from each other and from the spindle 1 by insulating washers 2 interlocking with each other. The projections 2b and recesses 2a in the washers and the central holes in the rectifier plates are preferably square. Electrical contact between the rectifier plates 3 is effected by flexible brass discs 4, each in the form of a saucer with a central hole, which are clamped in pairs between alternate pairs of washers 2. The assembly is held together by a retaining nut 5 acting on a spring washer 6.
