Abstract
925,435. Electromagnetic relays. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Sept. 29, 1961 [Oct. 22, 1960], No. 35250/61. Class 38 (5). A sealed magnetic contact device having a plurality of contact sets has magnetic contact springs 2 extending from the ends of the sealed tube 1 to overlap fixed contacts 4. As shown, four springs 2 extend from each end and are supported in an insulator 6 which also carries the magnetic fixed contact members 4 which serve when a coil (not shown) is energized to interconnect on aligned pair of spring 2. The members 4 may be electrically connected to each other and to a separate terminal or to individual terminals 5 as shown in Fig. 5. A permanent magnet (not shown), may be mounted between the members 4 to bias the springs to a normally closed position.
