[Also in Group XXX] For the storage and transfer of metal rods and the like, a carrier which may be manually portable comprises a framework where base, for supporting the rods, consists of two bars or tubes 5, 6 attched to two sides 1, 1a each in the form of a trapezium whose longer parallel side is at the top of the carrier and is filled with a projecting frame element 7 or 7a defining a slot 10 or 10a. The planes of the sides are upwardly convergent so that the carriers may be stacked with the lower ends of a carrier's sides fitted into the slots of a carrier below it.
