Abstract

923,006. Ceiling roses. RAYDEX Ltd. Jan. 9, 1961 [Jan. 7, 1960], No. 564/60. Class 38 (1). A ceiling rose comprises an incombustible (compression moulded thermosetting plastic) flanged back plate 5 with an aperture 10 and brass terminal members 13, the latter being so positioned on the back plate 5, and with respect to the aperture 10, that the points of connection (13a, 13b) of the leads 11 and 14 are enclosed within a flameproof area (that is, they are not directly visible when viewed from the ceiling side of the plate 5). The terminal members 13 pass through slots in the annular wall 9 of the plate 5 and are maintained therein by the heads of the screws 15, one on each side of the wall. The flexible lead 14 is gripped between a shoulder 20 on the cover 19 and the annular wall 9 and also by apertures 16 in the wall 9.
