922,907. Combine-harvesters. MASSEY-FERGUSON (UNITED KINGDOM) Ltd. Sept. 28, 1960 [Oct. 3, 1959], No. 33578/59. Class 6(3). In a combine-harvester of the type having a grain-conveyer 10 between the threshing cylinder (not shown) and the dressing shoe 12 is characterised in that the conveyer has a series of parallel longitudinal partitions 30, to prevent the grain from piling up on one side of the conveyer when the combine operates on a slope, and is provided with an auger above the delivvery end of the conveyer, the auger having two opposite-handed flights 34, 35 which feed grain inwardly towards the centre of the conveyer. The auger is adjustable in height above the conveyer and the partitions 30 are shaped at 36 to nest around its flights. The conveyer has a stepped floor to assist in the passage of the grain. The dressing shoe is conventional and includes superimposed sieves 13, 14, 15 and winnowing fan 17 and augers 21, 24 for cleaned grain and gleanings respectively.
