Abstract
922,824. Valves. MORAVSKOSLEZSKA ARMATURKA NARODNI PODNIK. July 21, 1961 [July 23, 1960], No. 26460/61. Class 135. A fluid-flow control valve is formed by a segment 1 which is rotatable to close off any one of a number of ports in the valve body, the segment being mounted on a pivot pin 2 whereby on rotation of the latter the segment is moved radially into and out of contact with seats around each port by an eccentric part of the pin 2. Upon the pin 2 being turned through a given angle in one direction, the segment is moved out of seating contact with the body, rotated to a new position by a rod 8 engaging a shoulder on the segment, and then wedged into sealing engagement around the selected port. A spring-loaded plunger 10 holds the segment in its selected position; the plunger 10 co-operates with one of four openings in a plate 13 connected through a bush 14 with a valve position indicator 15; the bush 14 houses one end of the pin 2. The indicator may operate a switch, not shown.
